Visited Desaru, Malaysia over the Christmas weekend with my extended family and girlfriend. Was a 3 day 2 night rest, relax and slack holiday I guess. Didn't do much except slack. Visited a fruit farm, where i took some pictures with the cam. I'll upload them when i get them.

MBS Infinity pool at dusk

Just ended reservist, and just in time for a small 2 day 1 night get-away, at MBS. The girl had been waiting for this for quite some time. I just wanted to chill out after exams and ICT, before FYP continues.

So, let the pictures do the talking.

Checked in to the deluxe suite we got at staff discount. 7th floor, but you get what you pay for. :D

As expected, the infinity pool was awesome. At least the view was.

Stayed from evening till night. The only gripe i have is that the pool is damn cold. 

Dinner at Hangoga Korean BBQ.

Brings back memories 1 year old.

The kimchi jijang which i ordered by mistake. Supposed to be seafood. But was still good non-the-less.

Seafood pancake. Not very awesome for its price.

Woke up at 6.30am to enjoy the infinity pool without the crowd. Shiok.

And well, after that my phone took a dip in the pool. And pretty much died on me. Its drying off in a ziplock bag of rice and silica gel right now. Don't have very high hopes for it though. :(

In all, was a rather enjoyable retreat, kinda expensive with the dinner and the phone. But still pretty good overall. :D

MBS updates

Well, its been quite some time.
Nothing really much to update since i've been busy with school. Got reminded that I have this blog, and well, seeing as there are changes in Blogger's layout, decided to change my template too. :)

This exams have been rather relaxing, compared to the first two years. Partly because all my papers are so spread out i have several days to study for each. Not that cramped. Heh. And also because I know my GPA can't really change much now anyway, so long as I don't score too badly. :p

Been watching a drama, 'Lie to me'. Pretty cool show about micro-expressions and finding the truth. Haha.

Shows how much I've been studying eh, especially since i've burned through season 1 and am halfway through season 2 within 2 weeks. :D

Watching on a new media server program i downloaded, Plex. Its pretty cool, can watch the movies/shows on my TV in the leaving room via the wireless network, streamed from my HDD in my room. Haha. Go check it out if you're interested: http://www.plexapp.com/

The last time I updated this blog was last year. And its already into April 2011.

In line with the negligence of this blog, I've updated the header with cobwebs to portray the state of disuse its in.

Since the last time, I've:

- Travelled Korea with my gf

- Started IA at Pratt and Whitney (SPRO)

- Rooted my phone, its now running oxygenmod 2.01, and i've made it up to look like my Macbook.

Time is flying past too fast. Weeks just end with a snap. Soon my IA will end, as will the last foresee-able slack period in my life. 

Year four is gonna be killer, work is not gonna be slack too. Oh well. Life.

Alright, the title kinda says it all.

Oh and i got a new camera app for my phone, and it does all diff kinds of effects. So i guess my pictures will be all with weird effects, at least until the novelty wears off me. Haha. Bear with it.

Nanyang Poly Audi

The grad was a pretty short ceremony. Interesting points to note:

1. There was a bagpipe playing guy, who sounded like he was going to 'zhao sia' at some parts, or maybe thats how bagpipes sound.

2. The graduates don't have mortarboards. Even the doctorates. According to European custom i think. They are 'clapped' on the head with a velvet clapper instead. Cute. Haha.

Went to KL again, but this time in a plane, with the lifeguard peeps.
Man the plane tickets were really cheap, $50+ for a round trip. Saved quite alot of time.
The airport was cui though. LCCT. food damn ex, and not nice. AND DON'T HAVE MY MAGNUM!
Searched for it high and low on the last day back.
