Edit: My phone is working now! Muahahahhaa. The power of rice, silicon gel, a ziploc bag, and a few days of drying. :)
Here's a pic taken with the Pano app on my phone.
MBS Infinity pool at dusk

The room! :D

Just ended reservist, and just in time for a small 2 day 1 night get-away, at MBS. The girl had been waiting for this for quite some time. I just wanted to chill out after exams and ICT, before FYP continues.

So, let the pictures do the talking.

Checked in to the deluxe suite we got at staff discount. 7th floor, but you get what you pay for. :D

As expected, the infinity pool was awesome. At least the view was.

How did they get the coconut trees up so high?!

The horizon baby, how often can you see that in Singapore?

Stayed from evening till night. The only gripe i have is that the pool is damn cold.

Dinner at Hangoga Korean BBQ.

Brings back memories 1 year old.

The kimchi jijang which i ordered by mistake. Supposed to be seafood. But was still good non-the-less.

Seafood pancake. Not very awesome for its price.

Woke up at 6.30am to enjoy the infinity pool without the crowd. Shiok.

Half of the polaroids we took.

Laying down in front of a pool of water, overlooking the city. Pretty darn good.
And well, after that my phone took a dip in the pool. And pretty much died on me. Its drying off in a ziplock bag of rice and silica gel right now. Don't have very high hopes for it though. :(

In all, was a rather enjoyable retreat, kinda expensive with the dinner and the phone. But still pretty good overall. :D

Well, after all the hype about this show while I was having exams, I finally got a chance to catch it today. :)

I got to say that its pretty awesome. But I would have been able to relate to it more if not for 那些年,我的班里没有女孩。But non-the-less, was a pretty good show

I learnt, for example, that taiwanese dudes love to masturbate together, and pee into bottles. HAHA.

But seriously, sometimes, being all that mature ain't gonna make you too happy either. We all know what we need to do, what we should do, and what we shouldn't. We know what things are stupid, and silly. But sometimes, we should just throw all that out of the window and let the child inside you out for a little spin. Come on. We all deserve that once in awhile. And unless you are an old grouch, you have  that little bit of childishness hidden inside.

So take a chill pill and have some fun sometimes people!

On a side note, that lead actor is a pretty sad dude, being led along for so long, and getting to kiss the groom at the end. HOW SAD CAN. Haha.

btw, anyone who reads Ippo should know the references to the gazelle punch and the Dempsey Roll in the 'fight scene'. haha. pleasantly surprised me.

Here's the soundtrack, enjoy!

Side note:
my new Snickers pencil box! :)

Lets play 'how small can your font go' in the cheatsheet you're gonna bring into the next exam.

Note that I didn't do this up myself, only edited it. But you can be sure the cheatsheets of the rest of the cohort are around the same standard, if not denser.
Well, its been quite some time.
Nothing really much to update since i've been busy with school. Got reminded that I have this blog, and well, seeing as there are changes in Blogger's layout, decided to change my template too. :)

This exams have been rather relaxing, compared to the first two years. Partly because all my papers are so spread out i have several days to study for each. Not that cramped. Heh. And also because I know my GPA can't really change much now anyway, so long as I don't score too badly. :p

Been watching a drama, 'Lie to me'. Pretty cool show about micro-expressions and finding the truth. Haha.

Shows how much I've been studying eh, especially since i've burned through season 1 and am halfway through season 2 within 2 weeks. :D

Watching on a new media server program i downloaded, Plex. Its pretty cool, can watch the movies/shows on my TV in the leaving room via the wireless network, streamed from my HDD in my room. Haha. Go check it out if you're interested: http://www.plexapp.com/

And thats all for now. cheerios!

I know, i know. Its already August. But better late than never right?

So here goes.

We heard the Swensons was super cheap there. And so, the first day we went to visit the Swensons at Platinum mall.

And it was really rather cheap. $8 for two sundaes. Woots.
After a whole day of shopping, i got a packet of Phat Thai at a roadside stall. SUPER YUMMY. and uber cheap. S$1.20.
Ate it at an A&W restaurant.

With the draft root beer. Awesome.

Baiyoke Sky, the hotel we stayed in, had a pretty cool old style exhibit.

We took the trains everywhere we went. haha. no cabs, no tuktuks, no nothing. but lots of walking. haha.

Hot hot hot. Had some SUPER fizzy drinks. i thought can keep the glass bottles, but cannot. :(

Stuff on the first day. Doesn't look much, but ITS ACTUALLY ALOT HOR!

Swensons, swensons, after every meal. hahha. Thats why we need to walk. Burn off all the fats.

We walked the length of Chulalongkong University, to get to this seafood place. Because we kinda shopped away all the spare cash we brought out. HAHA. And just nice they were having convocation i think. So there were alot of roadside stores selling stuff toys for DAMN CHEAP. 100 baht. wtf.

After the uber long walk, finally.

Lucky the food was worth it. Crab, prawns, sotong, fish, etc. And only $40 for 2. Shiok. Max.

Fat, full, empty plates.

On the long walk back to the train station, we spotted MOBILE VIP TOILET! How cool is that? In shades of blue and green too.

Loot for the 2nd day. With the hand made flower we bought with our last remaining baht.

Massage at this pretty 'famous online' massage parlour. We went once a day for the 4 days we were there. Loyal customers.

Sud sud, not me.

The 'decades ago' exhibit was so well done up, with so much attention to detail, i had to take some close ups.

Everything was bolted down. If not they would be koped i guess.

Just nice our hotel was Thailand's tallest building. Haha.

View from the top. Nothing fantastic though. Just another tall tower in another city. If you've been to the Eiffel tower, the rest are peanuts.

Mango Sticky rice, which was pretty underwhelming for its price. I think we ate at the wrong place. The mangos and pineapples at the roadside stalls were awesome. I think they were the cause of my 3kg gain in weight.

Roadside drinks stall. The auntie made the bandung on the spot. Not the usual flavor i was used to though.

All the syrups.

While walking from Siam paragon to some other shopping center, we got stopped. Everyone got stopped. Traffic, trains, people, everyone. Just so some political figure could drive past i think. Maybe its the king. or president. or some other big shot. Lucky SG don't have like that.

Walked some distance to TESCO, in search of Thailand's snacks. Failed. Haha.

And we were too lazy to walk back, so took a short Tuk Tuk ride. Our first, and only one. Lots of exhaust man. And the driver kept driving in the opposite direction. Felt like a scene in 2Fast2Furious.

Cheap manicure from Siam Square. Caught quite alot of attention from random tourists in the hotel. haha.

Swensons again, what else? :D

The FAKE Somboon seafood. Don't get cheated guys!

Spot the cleaner hanging outside. This is at 80 stories btw. Spotted during breakfast.

Chatuchat market. The supposed must see place. Nothing much though. Hot, squeezy, and large.

With pink vans.

The massage parlor we were loyal customers of.

One last A&W meal. It was rather ex, but the floats were really OUT OF THIS WORLD.

Ratchprarop, the station nearest to our hotel.

And finally, on the train to the airport, which was pretty comfy, and fast. Beats taking a cab,  risking the jams and the cheats. Haha.

Happy anniversary Dear! :)
Was just setting up the parent's laptop to the home tv so they can watch funshion on a larger screen insteed of the pathetic 13" screen, when i started thinking about how my future home entertainment system would be like. Being much of a geek, i hope it'll become a reality soon.

My TV be wirelessly connected to my desktop, which is actually a skeleton frame consisting of a widescreen monitor, wireless keyboard and mouse/touchpad, and wireless storage.

This means, when i my laptop is in the house, it starts a wireless backup into the external storage. When i play a movie, it is wirelessly sent to the tv and the home movie surround sound system.

My phone would work as a remote while at home, allowing me to play movies, and songs, from the home entertainment system. Everything will be stored in the wireless storage, expandable, while only the stuff i need to be portable, will be stored in my laptop, or in an online server, like dropbox.

Ahhhhh, now that is the life. For now.

I do see that in the future, maybe the keyboard and mouse/touchpad will be rendered moot, taken over by full body gestures like that in IronMan, Kinect like. :)
